The Personal Information We Collect and Store
The Democratic Party of Queensland (DPQ) collects and stores only the member’s information it is required to collect and store pursuant to the Queensland Electoral Act 1992 (the Act) and the Queensland Electoral Regulation 2013 (the Regulation). The information we collect includes title, given name, surname, date of birth, street address, suburb, state, postcode, postal address, postal suburb, postal state, postal postcode, e-mail address and gender.
How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information via a printed or digital Application for Membership form.
Why We Collect this Information
The DPQ is required to collect and store specific member information for verification of membership by the Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ) pursuant to the Act.
How We Use and Disclose Personal Information
We use the information to verify a member’s enrolment on the electoral roll. We disclose member’s information to the ECQ, The President of the Party, the Secretary of the Party and the person who collects the information from the are the only officers of the Party who have access to the personal information we collect.
