Constitutional Human Rights

Human rights must be embedded into the Constitution of Queensland and only be amended or repealed by a referendum. We will amend the Constitution of Queensland 2001 to introduce a new division into the Act that would constitutionally enshrine human rights. Amending or repealing this section will require a referendum and a legislative amendment.

Override Declarations

We oppose all override provisions that affect human rights or any statutes that protect human rights. We will remove and never establish any override provisions as part of our human rights reform.
