Sport and recreation significantly contribute to health, well-being and the economy. In our plan, we will appoint a dedicated minister committed to enhancing sport and recreation in Queensland.
Sport & Recreation Policy
Airsoft
We unequivocally support reasonable gun control. However, when we are elected to govern, we will permit the import and use of airsoft equipment in Queensland. We support the development of airsoft as a sport. We will use available mechanisms to prevent federal legislation from restricting the import of airsoft equipment.
To ensure safety, we will implement and retain several protections relating to airsoft, but we will not make participation in the sport burdensome.
We will publish the estimated revenue from this policy in advance of the election.
